Financial District

The Financial District of is a neighborhood on the southernmost section of the borough of Manhattan. It comprises of the offices and headquarters of many of the city's major financial institutions, including the New York Stock Exchange and the American Stock Exchange. The Financial District runs south of Chambers Street all the way east and west.

Though largely commercial it has been recently integrated with new high-rise luxury residential buildings many with spectacular views of the city and/or the River, The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The majority of the buildings cater to the professionals working long hours with amenities such as gyms, concierge services and the apartments themselves are wired with high-speed Internet and multiple phone lines.
